Music fills Chapel on dedication Sunday

About the organ

The organ is built by the Walker Technical Co. in Zionsville, Pa. Walker is considered by many the leader in the
digital world.

The company specializes in the “Aeolian Skinner” sound. Aeolian Skinner was proclaimed the premier pipe organ builder in the 20th century. Here is a little information about the Walker Technical Co. from their website

Formed in 1973, Walker Technical Company continues to be a recognized leader in digital reproduction of sound and control systems for the music industry. Walker produces electronic tonal enhancement equipment and speaker products, used by a large network of organ builders and dealers throughout North America. The company also stands at the forefront in the sale of digitally recorded pipe voices. Since its inception, Walker Technical has used the latest technology to develop a very high quality, sampled sound, pipe reproduction system for applications in which space and/or funding is limited. Products manufactured by Walker Technical Company can be found throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad.

Our new chapel organ at RCPC is an all Walker digital instrument. It is an organ of three manuals (keyboards) and pedal.

There are forty stops that make this instrument a perfect organ for the room.

Not only is it a wonderful service playing instrument for divine worship, but it will play a fine recital when called upon.

There will be a Service of Dedication on Oct. 15 at 7:30 pm. This dedication service will be in the form of Choral
Evensong. It will feature some of the solo organ repertoire. It will also feature some choral works with the new organ and
will be in candlelight.

This instrument was given through private gifts to glorify Almighty God by expanding the music at the new 9 a.m. worship service.

May this instrument bring praise and glory to His name and help to make disciples for His Kingdom.

“Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise! And may God give us faith to sing
always: Alleluia!”
