Day 35 - Holy Monday, April 11

RCPC Greatest Hit from Dorothy S. Walden in 1985

“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord.” - Luke 19:38

The mob expected Jesus to appear as a conquering hero in martial splendor. Instead, he came as the King who comes to His people in love and peace. We create chaos, but in our chaos, there is God’s order. We need only listen and heed. We are like the little boy, who when told by his mother to stop pulling the cat’s tail, replied, “I’m just holding his tail; he’s doing the pulling.”

Surely, we can live together in peace as good neighbors if we turn to Jesus as the disciples did rejoicing and praising God for all His deeds of power … saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Dear Prince of Peace, help us in our lives to bring good out of evil: order out of chaos and peace out of turmoil. Amen
