Day 31 - Wednesday, April 6

RCPC Greatest Hit from Helene Vest in 2002

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth.”- Psalm 121:1-2

How can we look at the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains which surround us and not acknowledge the power and majesty of God? When I look at them, I am filled with awe and wonder at the greatness of our Creator. God created everything, from the smallest pebble to the largest mountain; from the tiniest raindrop to the mightiest ocean; from the one-celled amoeba to the giant dinosaur. Then God created us and gave us dominion over all of His creation. What an awesome responsibility!

We must be responsible for caring for and protecting all parts of God’s creation. This poses a dilemma. How can we know the best way for civilization to grow and still protect all parts of His creation? Only through prayer and trust in God’s guidance can we protect His creation.

Let us all remember our responsibility to care for God’s magnificent world.

Heavenly Father, guide us as we attempt to protect and preserve your wondrous creation. AMEN.
