On the second Wednesday of each month, the RCPC Book Club meets in Room 102 off the chapel to discuss the book of the month, as well as selecting the next month's book. The book is listed in the monthly newsletter, The Raleigh Court Herald, and in the This Week @ RCPC e-mail. Sometimes the books are spiritual or religious in nature, but often they are more recent publications that speak to the big issues of life.

Each spring we participate in a co-ed Church Softball League as part of either Roanoke County Parks and Recreation or Salem Parks and Recreation. Practice begins in April, and the season is May-June. Games are played on weeknights anytime between 5:30 and 9:00 PM, must be at least 18 years old to play.
Several times each year, we as a church family go together to certain festivals or events. Activities sometimes include a Salem Red Sox baseball game or a Rail Yard Dawgs hockey game. Check the bulletin and This Week @ RCPC e-mail to learn more.
A few times each year we have lunch together as a congregation after worship. Sometimes these meals are provided for everyone, occasionally they are meals where you sign-up to attend ahead of time, and other times they are potluck. Check the church publications throughout the months to see when a Sunday lunch is upcoming.
Starting in March 2019, we began a congregational retreat to Massanetta Springs Conference Center outside Harrisonburg, Virginia. This weekend gives us time away from the frantic pace of daily living and allows us to deepen our connection to God and one another. This is a ministry for the entire congregation that seeks to form relationships across the generations of the church.
