Day 35 - Holy Monday, March 29

John 12:14-19

Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it; as it is written:” Do not be afraid; daughter of Zion. Look your king is coming; sitting on a donkey’s colt!” His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified , then they remembered that these things had been written of him and had been done to him. So the crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify. It was also because they heard that he had performed this sign that the crowd went to meet him. The Pharisees then said to one another, “You see, you can do nothing. Look, the world has gone after him!

BREAD OF LIFE RECIPE

Ingredients:

Young donkey Pharisees

Jesus Exuberant adoration

Hebrew Bible-Zechariah 9:9 Living Water

Crowd

Preheat oven until you see The Light of the World. Start with a young donkey. Add Jesus, God’s self-expression, The Word. Layer words from Zechariah and mix well. In a separate bowl, stir confused disciples, raised from the dead Lazarus eyewitnesses (the crowd), and the Pharisees. Fold in exuberant adoration. Combine all ingredients and add living water until a nice dough is formed. Place in a vessel that has been emptied of self. Bake for 2,000 years or until a radiant, glorified, loaf has formed.

Now enjoy your Scripture fulfilled, nutrient-packed, spirit-filled living bread. Eat often and taste eternal life knowing that the Lord is in your midst and in your middle!

Prayer: Lord, Thank you for giving us the recipe and the ingredients that we need to sustain our life in you. May we bake often and be filled with your goodness and share that recipe and bread with others. Amen
